Welcome back to The Road2Wholeness Blog. Thank you for stopping by. Today we end the "5 Wealths" blog series with a look at the wealth of Understanding. To help establish a refreshed view on Understanding, let's go to the scripture of Revelation 10:10.
It reads, "And I took the little scroll from the hand of the angel, and ate it. It was sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it my stomach was made bitter."
This word points to the nature of wisdom and understanding. The truth is, if we eat the scroll of wisdom and understanding, it will always prove bitter to the belly yet sweet in the mouth. The fact remains that
everyone likes the taste of wisdom pouring from their mouths. Everyone wants the association of being wise, but what is sweet in the mouth is bitter to the belly. Do you know what the belly symbolizes in life? The belly is the gut, the mind, the appetite. And when a principled word gets into the belly, it has to rearrange the forces of your being. It is tasked with cleaning up your current perspective thus causing your belly to be bitter. But in Proverbs 4:7 it says, "Wisdom is the principle thing; therefore get wisdom. And with all your getting, get understanding."
Lastly, in Proverbs 16:16 it says, "How much better to have wisdom than gold, and Understanding for silver." So stop for just a minute. Let the word of the Lord work and turn in the belly. Let your desire for silver and gold transmutate. "Let wisdom be your comfort, and understanding be your friend. Slow down. Just for a minute, if you will. Hear the word of the Lord. Hear the truth of your being that is saying... "Today, I am satisfied. Today, I am justified. Today, I am ratified by my knowledge, my wisdom, and finally, my understanding."
Thank you Jesus for what you have given us in the 5 Wealths Blog Series. May this scroll prove to be bitter in our bellies and sweet in our mouths. We give you thanks and praise, and we tell of your Glory.
Thank you for taking the stroll with us. I hope you will begin at the beginning with Blog #1 in this series. And remember to Go Within That You May Never Go Without. Our Lord Within You, Awaits You. Until Our Paths Collide Again, I Wish You... Peace, Love, Life and Religion.
