Welcome to The Road2Wholeness Blog during our Road 2 Resurrection Blog Series!  Thank you for taking the stroll with us today!

In this third blog of the series, we're looking at 1 Corinthians 6:12.  It reads, "All things are permissible, but not beneficial."  This verse is most certainly pointing to the tug between "Free Will" and "Wisdom".  If we look at Romans 8:2, The New International Version, it says "Through Christ the law of the spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death."  Therefore we know that wisdom becomes essential to mankind if the curse of the law of sin and death has been annul.

This essentially shows a change of perspective. In the Old Testament it appears that God wanted to make the Israelites aware of how to see sin.  In the book of Numbers, it outlines word-by-word what the Lord sees as a sin.  However, here in the New Testament we see a shift to understanding "what sin feels like".  As the law becomes flesh, it also becomes sense based.  If all things are in fact permissible, how do we sense sin?  If the wages of sin has indeed been paid, how do we govern the benefits of our freedom?

As we know from scripture, the fruit of the spirit of God are love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  Therefore we sense sin in direct contrast to these spiritual fruits.  The question then becomes, will we eat the fruit of eternal life, or will we eat the fruit of death.  Now we see that the question has arisen again, and we have another chance to choose decisively.  Yet, many Believers have undoubtedly been given the spirit to choose wisdom.

Remember to go within, that you may never go without.  The God within you, awaits you.  Until our paths collide again, I wish you.. Peace, Love, Life, and Harmony.
