Thank you for visiting The Road2Wholeness Blog today! We hope you enjoy taking this stroll with us during our Road 2 Resurrection blog series. This is Blog 4 of "7 Wisdom Building Scriptures".
Today we look at 1 Kings 20:28. The verse reads, The man of God came up and told the king of Israel, "This is what the Lord says: 'Because the Arameans think the Lord is a god of the hills and not a god of the valleys, I will deliver this vast army into your hands, and you will know that I am the Lord.'"
Here we see that the Lord is concerned about His name; concerned about how Israel knows Him and even what the enemy understands about Him. How many times do we assume that we can only win or find advantage in elevated experiences and environments? It's natural to feel like the walls are closing in when dealing with valley experiences. Naturally, visibility is not the best and it's easy for the enemy to trap us, but here in this scripture taken from Kings, the Lord is certain to make His face to shine upon His people.
I find this to be a great standard of wisdom and not just faith. But how can we discern that this scripture is a great wisdom building scripture? Well, let's look at where this scripture is founded; it's the book of Kings. The verse says that a prophet, a man of God was sent to advise the King of Israel. This is most certainly a show of favor and also emphasizes how God treats those He delegates. In present times, we are blessed to make this acknowledgment and to accept this assurance once custom-fitted for a king; that God is also a God of the valleys. We know this is inherited favor because scripture tells us that we perish for a lack of knowledge. Let the record show that Israel did not perish. Therefore we can deduce from this record that God's empowerment is knowledge.
Thank you for joining the series. Let's continue to build up our recognition of truth and meditate on these wisdom building scriptures.
