Welcome back to The Road2Wholeness Blog! Thank you for taking the stroll today. We continue with The Precision of God.
Today we go to Matthew 14:29 to continue to bring a budget to our faith.
It reads, "Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on water, and came toward Jesus. In this scripture, it's hard to budget our faith if we are seeing two stories. If Peter's story is separate from Jesus' story, we'll never find the proper budget of our faith. Faith in the bible is certainly represented by a hall of faith, but it is fully understood through Jesus' walk. Certainly, Peter never gave consideration to walking on water, but in this story, the Lord is already walking on the water. When Peter walks on water, it is by the Lord's example. It is also the presence of the Lord that makes it possible for Peter, for faith without the works of the Lord is corruptible and essentially dead. Therefore, Peter walks on water by the Lord's example, His holy presence which inevitably steady's Peter's eyes and steps, and by the very command of the Lord, who said "come".
Later, when Peter begins to sink, Jesus says "You of little faith".. "Why did you doubt?" For God knows that it is possible for Peter, a disciple of the Lord, to continuously walk on water.
Therefore, we bring budget to our faith by reaching for the very presence of God. The power of God's presence is that we don't hold a static image of what is possible, but that we continue to have our faith readily inspired and sustained. Therefore can we see that the true story of our faith is held within The Precision of God to lead, prompt, and command? Much like we learned that the Lord's prayers strengthens our faith, let us duly seek the Lord's example and listen for His commands.
Remember to go within that you may never go without. The God within you awaits you. Until our paths collide again, I wish you.. Peace, Love, Life, and Complete Hearing in Christ.
