Welcome Back! Thank
you for visiting The Road2Wholeness Blog.
I invite you to take a stroll with us today. Today begins The Reach Series.
I’ll like to begin this series with the subject “Reach
Down”.
Ordinarily when we think reach; we think high. Certainly, in this series we will go high,
but first I offer to you that perhaps we first reach down. Why reach down? Let’s reach down and pull up our lower
thoughts. Sometimes we take off running
and we don’t realize that there are thoughts that we forgot to pull up to a
higher level of consciousness. These
thoughts eventually then become debris in the road. These thoughts impede our journey
forward. As we begin to look at what’s
tripping us up, we must also be willing to reach down and sort through
them.
Through stillness, reflective meditation, and even simple
rest we undergo the process of exposing these debris for what they are. We look into them using the light and truth
of God. Therefore, we don’t go to their
level, but we observe them where they are and we send a hand by way of light to
lift them up to the current level of consciousness that we choose to live
on.
It’s been my experience that in life we get these wonderful
opportunities to demonstrate what we believe, and in such moments we reach down
with the awareness that we’ve been given an opportunity; not a barricade. One of the things that I love about reading
about Jesus and how He healed the sick is the way He often asked… “Do you
believe that I can do what you are asking of me?” Jesus knew He could heal them with our
without their belief, but He was giving them an opportunity to demonstrate what
they believed. In that way He didn’t
simply leave them healed, but He left them empowered and with greater faith.
Therefore, as we continue to demonstrate what we really
believe in our lives, it empowers us and continues to build our personal
confidence as well as our faith. Perhaps
then when we find someone who is extremely confident, it’s not a fog, but a
result of all the times they reached down and pulled their life up onto its
feet. I can personally testify that
every time I’ve pulled my life back onto its feet, it was a result of making
the effort to reach down and pull my lower thoughts up.
I believe this is why many times Jesus was recorded as
pulling away, and going up to a mountain side or a higher region of land. It is often because in order to break through
the collective consciousness around you, one has to go where thoughts, ideas,
and beliefs are less concentrated. If we heed these pressings to get still and be
alone with our thoughts, we are often able to break down and break open our solidified
and crystalized way of thinking. It’s been
said that Jesus was person and principle as well, which means that we don’t
necessarily go up on a mountain, but that we take the principle or the fruit
from the story, which is to make time to go to higher grounds in consciousness where
we can examine our lives, thoughts, and beliefs. Jesus showed that this was a pressing need as
He moved along toward His destiny. Thus,
I also believe this is part of moving forward; because forward is not just
movement, but it should probably prove to be better movement. In that way, forward comes with stops and
yield signs.
Certainly, the road to wholeness is not a one-time road;
it’s a destiny road which calls for a life time. Along that lifetime, we will continuously be
asked to “reach”, but it’s also been my experience that the God within will
meet us there. He asks us to reach down
deep, and as we do, He pulls us up higher.
This is what my entire journey has been about and this is what I share;
it’s the “how” I believe in and it’s my continuing work.
Today I encourage you to continue to “Reach” and
particularly to “Reach Down” and turn the debris on your road into the rewards
of higher consciousness. Thanks for walking with me today.
Remember to go within that you may never go without. The God within you awaits you. Until our paths collide again, I wish you... Peace, Love, Life, and Complete Wholeness in Christ.
In Service,
NaTisha Renee Williams
