The Power of One People

The Return to One People!

This is an assignment I never could accept in my own strength, but God’s encouragement to me was simply to Honor the Word of God and to Honor the Lord, Jesus.

I begin with a recollection of the first two sins.

1.       The Reasoning Mind- which led to the Deception of Adam and Eve, and which ultimately led to separation between man and God

2.       Rebellion to God’s Judgment- which led to Cain’s killing of his brother Abel

I believe that these two sins are a full representation of the flesh nature.  However, when we accept the Christ mind through acceptance of, and belief in Jesus Christ, we are able to return to our Father.  We then appear in Christ before the eyes of our Father as we were before we became double-minded and rebellious.  This is probably pretty agreed upon information.  But what I am convicted to present is the statement that came to me a few days ago.

The statement was, “The Christ mind is one nation, under God, indivisible, and with liberty and justice for all.”  Well, we all know these famous words from the U.S. pledge of allegiance beginning here at “one nation”.  I believe the writer Francis Bellamy was on to something, and I’ll say why.

First, I would like to update that statement to say, “The Christ Mind Vision is One Nation, Under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.”

I believe this was the ultimate reconciliation mission of God by sending The Son, Jesus.  God’s goal was to restore us to the beginning; before we separated ourselves with the veil of deception.

Therefore the mission and vision has remained “One nation, under God, indivisible, and with liberty and justice for all.”

What God has revealed to me is that Jesus came to make it possible by paying our sin debts, and ultimately demonstrating the consciousness needed to carry out the second part of the mission.  Jesus’ work at the cross eliminates the separation from God (double mindedness) for those who believe and accept.  The second part of God’s mission is found in “The Great Commission”.  The assignment has been translated in many languages, but the commission for many has remained an unsolved equation.  We’ve been so intent on the instruction that we have missed the mission; TO GO BECOME ONE NATION.

Matthew 28:19 says: “Therefore go make disciples of all nations…”

Ultimately, when all men have accepted the good news that Jesus came to reconcile our relationship to God and return to one mind; we will be one nation operating with one mind.  This is really a vision for the entire world, but it somehow got isolated as an aspiration of the USA; showing that the USA has been on to something and in covenant relationship with God.

But still there is something I’ll like to point out pertaining to the name of Jesus.

The real challenge God has set before us is to become one mind, one assembly, and one body in Christ Jesus.  Here’s something interesting that took place in the book of Genesis.

From Genesis 11:4

They said, “Come, let us build for ourselves a city and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name….”
But God had already decided that there would be only one way for man to reach heaven again; it would be through Jesus.  And the name of The Son, Jesus was also already established to be the name above all names.  Therefore God curtailed man’s efforts.   Let’s see how.

From Genesis 11:6-7
The Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language.  And this is what they began to do and now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them.  Come, let Us go down and confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another’s speech.  So the Lord scattered them abroad from there, over the face of the whole earth…”

Suddenly, we went from one people with one language, to a scattered people with many languages.  Christ came however to give us the tools and ability to return to one people, with one mind, and one language.  That one language is called “Christ Consciousness” which is translated to us by The Advocate (The Holy Spirit), and breaks down all barriers if we allow Him.  Interesting term though; advocate!  I believe The Holy Spirit has been called The Advocate because He knows the mission, and comes to reveal it to us in consciousness and then help us to continue to walk in alignment with the Christ Mind Vision.  The other way we continue to walk in alignment is by hearing and applying the word of God as written in the Holy Bible.  With that we are able to understand how God has envisioned us to live.

Last Point I’ll like to make as it pertains to the first two sins as were mentioned above.  First was the separation between man and God through disobedience, deception, and disagreement.  Yes disagreement!  Because Adam and Eve were not in clear agreement about what God’s instructions were regarding their domain.  Second was the rebellion of Cain which led him to violate the life and liberty of his brother by killing him.  In keeping with the statement I made saying that those two falls were a full representation of man’s dilemma, I am reminded of Jesus’s answer to the question of which of the commandments were the greatest.

From Matthew 22:36-40
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

Jesus replied: “’Love the Lord you God with all you heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Naturally here, I believe we see how to walk in Christ consciousness, and I also believe that if we would uphold these two commands, that we will be on our way to breaking down social barriers and becoming One Nation, Under God, with Liberty and Justice for All.

Thanks for taking the stroll with me.

Remember to go within that you may never go without.  The God within you awaits you!  Until our paths collide again, I wish you... Peace, Love, Life, and Complete Wholeness is Christ!
