Season's Greetings!  Thank you for returning to The Road2Wholeness Blog for our year ending Blog Series "Dinner with The AlchemisT".  We hope that you enjoyed part-1, and that you will tell a friend or loved one about our series.  Let's jump back in.

In the Bible, there are many moving examples of God as the ultimate AlchemisT, but in this series, we look at some of the chemistry offered by other seeming alchemist from the scriptures.  Here in part-2 of "Dinner with The AlchemisT", we look at Joseph.

We pick up then, in the book of Genesis.

In Chapter 37 of Genesis, the Bible tells us about Joseph who is just seventeen years old; beloved by his father and despised by his brothers.  In verses 5 thru 9, we learn about two dreams Joseph has; precisely... that his sheaf of grain would rise and stand upright while his brothers' sheaves would bow down to it.

With this, Joseph is eventually sold by his brothers to Ishmaelites who took him to Egypt where one of Pharaoh's officials bought him.  This perhaps is the beginning of the unveiling of Joseph's kind and what goes into his years of alchemy.

In Chapter 39, Joseph refuses to go to bed with his master's wife, saying "With me in charge, my master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything he owns he has entrusted to my care.  No one is greater in this house than I am.  My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife.  How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?"

From there the Lord shows kindness and grants him favor in the eyes of the prison warden where Joseph has fallen prey to his master's wife's lies.

In Chapter 40, Joseph is able to interpret two dreams of fellow prisoners; workers of the Pharaoh.  But first, he asks "Do not interpretations belong to God?"

In Chapter 41, two years have passed and Joseph gets an opportunity to save the land of Egypt from famine when he interprets two dreams sent to Pharaoh.  Now, let's look at what was predicted form Egypt.  It was projected in verse 31 that the abundance in the land of Egypt would be forgotten, and the famine would have greater resonance and lineage due to its severity.  At this, the Pharaoh quickly heeded Joseph's advisement and agrees to set aside a fifth of Egypt's harvest in the upcoming seven years of abundance before the famine.

This all goes into the flask.  Not just Joseph's value as a good and honest worker, but every twist and turn of his unwavering kind to recognize God.

In the end, we see that the significance of Joseph's dreams were all a lesson is reaping and sowing.  His sheaf of grain (which is his kind) did in fact rise and stand upright where those of his brothers did bow down to all kinds of whims and lawlessness.  By Chapter 42, his father Jacob is preparing to send his sons to Egypt to secure grain.  By then Joseph is the governor of the land, and he will inevitably meet his family again.

With this we recognize Matthew 5:6, for we know that those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be filled.

Remember to go within that you may never go without.  The God within you awaits you.  Until our paths collide again, I wish you... Peace, Love, Light, and Righteousness!

Road2Wholeness FAQ:

Why Wholeness?

With God we enter into a state of remembrance and reconciliation.  The Road2Wholeness is a return to the mental resolve of Nothing Broken and Nothing Missing.  This can be spiritual completeness by grace, or personal completeness by faith.  This is a state of perfect knowing and understanding.  It's the bridge to remembering God the Father, and our rightful place in the birthright lineage.  Wholeness means we are no longer spiritual orphans but a part of the Lord's caravan.
