Welcome back to The Road2Wholeness Blog and The 'P" series, The Precision of God.  We thank you for taking the stroll with us today.  We continue the Quick LAB series with Blog 2.

Let's continue with faith.  Luke 22:31 shows Jesus speaking to peter again, and it reads "Simon, Simon, satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat.  Here Jesus is speaking about His disciples.  Luke 22:32 continues, "But I have prayed for you Simon, that your faith does not fail.  And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers."

In blog 1, we looked at the assignment God gave to focus our hearts on perfect love rather that a perfect faith.  We know Jesus is the perfecter of our faith, but what about this scripture.  Why does Jesus pray?  Jesus the perfecter of our faith at the request of satan to sift His disciples.. prays for Peter's strength.  Here it shows that faith not only comes by hearing which is the word of God, but it shows that it is in need of empowerment and guardianship. It also shows that faith and the works of faith is not the main way to continue to build faith.  In other words, we cannot use our sight or what we've already accomplished to build our faith (for Peter walked on water), but must pray that our faith does not fail.  We also witness here that faith comes by hearing Romans 10:17 and hearing by the word of God.

Therefore we look to the word of God to build the hearing of our faith, and not our rolodex of past achievements.  Hearing that Jesus prayed for His disciple's faith is certainly good for our hearing, and we establish that it is the word of God.. scripture, that tells us what Jesus is doing, has done, or would do.  Continue here with the Life of LAB series for more on budgeting your faith.

Remember to go within that you may never go without.  The God within you awaits you.  Until our paths collide again, I wish you... Peace, Love, Life, and Complete Hearing in Christ.
