Welcome back to Life of LAB and the Blog series "Sift".

In the Bible today... what is left after all the divisions, the sorting, and the inventions?  Is the meaning behind all inventions in fiction are tactical?  It's time to sift.  Give me Factions, Give me Fractions, but still give me Fiction!

Today we continue along the book of Samuel and we return to chapter 26.  Let's first remember part of David's now wife Abigail's address.

"Even though someone is pursuing you to take your life, the life of my lord will be bound securely in the bundle of the living by the Lord your God, but the lives of your enemies he will hurl away as from the pocket of a sling."

If the game of "Sift" is "What do you hear?" then David heard these words correctly.  In Samuel chapter 26, David has a clear opportunity to kill the King of Israel Saul, but he relinquishes that right, and instead he turns his righteousness to the word of the Lord spoken to him in chapter 25.  After withdrawing with Saul's sword, David turns and charges Saul's men with the possible murder.  When Saul and his camp realizes that his life was spared, he then speaks to David from a distance.

To Saul's address, 'David my son'.. David replies, "Why is my lord pursuing his servant?  What have I done, and what wrong am I guilty of?  Now let my lord the king listen to his servant's words.  If the Lord has incited you against me, then may He accept an offering.  If, however, people have done it, may they be cursed before the Lord!  They have driven me today from my share in the Lord's inheritance and have said, 'Go, serve other gods.'  Now do not let my blood fall to the ground far from the presence of the Lord."

All of these things David says to Saul before he returns Saul's spear to him.  He lays his life down to the spirit of God that has accompanied him to Saul's camp, and he answers the question of what he heard.  The divisions here are many.  Here we see a seamless division between David's choice to spare Saul's life and David's choice to charge Saul's men with failure to guard their king.  We also can see a seamless division between the Lord's decision to call David to honor only the word of the Lord and not take his life into his own hands claiming that he had been led to serve other gods.  In addition, from one king to another, the line is blurred out when David speaks a more powerful word than the blow his servant promised him to pay to Saul when they found the king sleeping with his sword beside his head.  We see that David's words spoken in relent can also be spoken by the king of Israel.

Listen again to the word of the Lord spoken by David.  "If the Lord has incited you against me, then may He accept an offering."

In this moment David share's a portion of his inheritance with his former master.  With that, David leaves many offerings and at Saul's words, "Surely, I have acted like a fool and have been terribly wrong." David returns to Saul his sword.

Now let's see where there are inventions in this story from Samuel 26.  Here David uses his own life as an anointed king to be to hear the Lord's request not to harm the present king of Israel Saul.  Again he keeps his hands clean, and is hinted to the trouble makers in his army.  He takes the word spoken in chapter 25 and becomes an intelligent warrior.

In Samuel 26:24, he proclaims, "As surely as I have valued your life today, so may the Lord value my life and deliver me from all trouble."

From there David continues on to create more inventions.

Let's move on to chapter 27.  There David makes a request in the land of the Philistines to have a place assigned to him.  "So on that day, Achish gave him Ziklag.  And it has belonged to the kings of Judah ever since."

Coming up in Life of LAB "Sift"... We continue to follow King David as he follows the Factions, Fractions, and Fictions in his life through the wilderness.

Remember to go within that you may never go without.  The God within you awaits you.  Until our paths collide again, I wish you... Peace, Love, Life, and Complete Wholeness in Christ.

Dear Reader,

Please notice the lines recently removed from this blog due to an ongoing campaign of invaders who continue to update and make edits to this blog without permission.  In coming behind them in this blog some words have been changed as to undo the undoing done by them by shifting and moving paragraphs and lines of this blog from one place to the next.  With that, enjoy reading the blog again.  You may dismiss these lines that are founded here as record keeping to the problem I'm having regarding system personnel employed by the US Government who set out to destroy this blog.  I thank you for your continued support of The Road2Wholeness Blog, and I ask that you will help us to resolved this problem by mailing a letter to the United Nations or your Nations' Capital in Washington D.C.  I currently own the company Blogger but they are also in the system room and under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Government.

In a matter of right and wrong David is able to find the right place to stand firm.  He also becomes aware of the threat that surrounds him.  He then calls out to Saul and makes his position known.

even as he has been anointed to be king and has an army of 600 hundred men with him
