"Father!" A Series on Prayer, blog 4

Welcome back!  Thank you for taking the read today, and another stroll with The Road2Wholeness Blog.  This is the last blog in “Father!” A Series on Prayer.   We finish this series with the question, “What do you do when God says start walking?”

Perhaps we’re always walking, but this walk is like no walk we’ve ever taken.  This is the walk towards promise.  It’s a walk that requires new eyes, ears, and new wisdom.  Hence, the reason we embarked on this series.  However, we also looked at the series from the perspective of being seen and heard as well.  Ultimately, the best way to be seen and heard by God is in His will.  Let’s be clear, the will of God is the promise of God.  Often times in the early stages of seeing what is in store for us, we refer to the will of God as our dream.  Yet, there is a distinct difference between our dream and “The Will of God”.  In order to materialize our dreams we can put our thinking faculties together with our abilities and produce our best replica.  The promise of God however, will require God; not simply the stuff God gave us (such as our thinking faculties and abilities).  The promise of God has a shepherd; a gate.  It is Jesus.

When God projects to us a future, we have a dream, but when God presents to us a promise, we have a will.  As we exchange our dream for the will, we find that the walk is like no other walk.  So we reach out for new eyes, ears, and wisdom.  The reach is made through communion with God, and instructions we receive in large part through our relationship with God in prayer.  In the first blog, we also saw that there is power to be gained through prayer, as Jesus demonstrated to his disciples in the example we looked at.

As we begin walking this delicate walk, we find that Jesus comes nearer, because He is the pioneer of the walk.  He pulls us close that we might have access to the things that we do not know.  He also begins to reteach us, and it is no wonder if we are in the will of God, because the word of God says “Wisdom proves her way right by her deeds.”  Therefore, as we listen and begin making the steps God instructs, we see right away why.  Outside of God’s will, there is general wisdom, and it may or may not ever come into play, but in the will of God, every instruction manifests a notable and beneficial outcome.  Yet again, beneficial is in accordance with the eyes you are given.  Therefore continue to seek God for eyes because the mysteries of God are not by accident, and there are many disguises within the will of God.

Speaking of disguises, I believe the best way to be heard by God is in the language given by “The Spirit of Truth”.  This for me is still a new awareness, and I will admit I had been very skeptical of these unknown languages, but that was also at a time that I did not know Jesus personally and was distant from the Word of God.  As we begin to look at praying the promise forward, it’s important to recognize that we need the Holy Spirit (The Advocate) to make impartations as well as relay our questions to the Lord.  The disguise however, is not necessarily in the language, but in the texture of our heart.  The heart that is not surrendered to the things of God will not accept such things.  Likewise, the Spirit of Truth knows an un-surrendered heart, no matter what is repeated.  Therefore the first thing we do “When God says start walking”, is face God.  We face God for all our needs, and as He holds us at His bosom, we look over His shoulders like little children to see our inheritance.

As I close out this series, I cheer you on as you seek to know God deeper and to walk out the will of God for your life.  I encourage you to hold fast to your faith in Christ Jesus, and to trust the Love of God that never fails.

Lastly, I will like to share with you a 24-hr Fast and Prayer formula that was given to me by God.  I hope you will seek The Spirit of Truth for His guidance and breakthrough anointing as you implement the Fast.  (It’s a 24-hr full fast, coupled with 7prayers, which are to be divided by 4 hours.

Therefore you might do 6am-6am.  In which case, you will pray at 6am, 10am, 2pm, 6pm, 10pm, 2am, and 6am).  I will be sharing more insight on this formula in the future, but don’t delay.  The Father awaits you.

Remember to go within that you may never go without.  The God within you awaits you.  Until our paths collide again, I wish you... Peace, Love, Life, and Complete Wholeness in Christ.
