Let's explore the nature of God; His ear, His heart, and His mind.
We begin with Hebrew 7:25. It reads, "Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them."
This scripture speaks of Jesus as our intercessor. God represented as human life in Christ brings great understanding. Not only does Emmanuel, "God with us", leave us with a blood covenant as we progress through our life, but Jesus as Lord, becomes our ear.
Did you know that you had a ear in Christ?
Some of the most common sounds heard by our Lord remains, The Word of God, our names, our enemies names, our whimpers, our prayers, our righteous convictions, and our confessions. If we look at the scripture from Luke 12:7, it reads, "Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."
This simply put, means, not only are your whereabouts known to God, but the things that concern you as well. If it helps to broaden your understanding, think about every hair on your head as an individual concern.. Now hear the word again. Indeed, the hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not be afraid. You are worth more than many sparrows.
Yes, you are worth many loving details.
If we continue on to Luke 12:8, we see more good news. The scripture reads, "I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God." This word spoken by Jesus himself is highly insightful. In this short word we get a clear gist of Jesus as intercessor and as the ear of God.
Today, as we move closer to resurrection Sunday, take a moment to realize the gift of the precious, Holy, lamb of God. Stop and realize that there is not only a heartbeat attached to your life, but the very Ear of the Most High God. His name shall be called Emmanuel.
