Road 2 Resurrection: 7 Wisdom Building Scriptures- Quick Blog 6

Welcome back to The Road2Wholeness Blog!  Thank you for taking the stroll with us today.  You've landed in Blog 6 of  "7Wisdom Building Scriptures".  

Today we're reading from Philippians 4:8.  Here's what it says, "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things." 

This is truly a beautiful scripture, and it is explicit about how we should direct our attention.  What I like about this scripture is that it is a great meditational word that has all the properties needed to help in the quest to render forgiveness and mercy.  I believe that it is at times too easy to be lured away from the things that are praiseworthy in the world.  I see also in relationships where we sometimes allow small offenses to overthrow years of praiseworthy love and support.  On the scale of wisdom, and in the case of collecting for ourselves a few thoughts to live by; Philippians 4:8 feels oh so crucial.

If we return to some of the questions from yesterday's blog, we will also find that in the case of how information gets stored up in our hearts, this scripture does well to point.  It is without a doubt that our concentration on what is true, noble, pure and lovely is certainly a good way to permeate the heart and filter in what is good.
