Welcome back to The Road2Wholeness Blog. You've joined our “P” series, The Precision of God; a Life of LAB quick blog series. Today in blog 6, we continue to look at faith and the way to budget our faith. Let's look at the scripture Exodus 14:13. It reads, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance of the Lord.."
In this scripture, Moses instructed the Israelites to stand firm. In faith we learn there is a time to wait and there is a time to walk. Yet there are times in faith when we walk while we wait. Walking while waiting is the big faith adventure. It's the big budgeting maneuver that requires the believer to know when to do which, and it's the sure deliverance of the Lord that proves and improves our faith. In the case of the Israelites, they were prophesied to become storytellers. If we look at their time spent in the wilderness being freed from their captivity, we'll see that they were shown many great signs and wonders. Still, it appeared that they were without faith. As the Israelites walked through a number of obstacles and commands, we hear their heart's confessions. We hear their grumblings and at times their desire to go backwards back into captivity. Likewise, the Lord could hear their witnessings, and knew that they were not the storytellers; the people that would tell subsequent generations of the Lord's goodness and mercy.
It takes forty years for the purging of the generations, and for the Lord's chosen people to build up even the courage to go and scope out the promised land. All while the Israelites are seeking the deliverance of the Lord to end their time in the wilderness, the Lord is waiting on the Israelites to become his inheritance; the remnant.
Here we can see that the Lord's commitment to making us exactly as we’ve been told is the greater deliverance. Therefore, could it be the precision of God to increase our ultimate call to be witnesses? In this way, we too can budget our faith while waiting; understanding that God hasn't only instructed us to test every prophecy but still leads by example.
